Land Chronicle
For Texas real estate agents

A story no other listing has.The history of the land beneath your listing, from its original land grant to today.

Photos and a floor plan show buyers the house. This shows them the land: who it was first granted to, what the old maps show, and the town that grew up around it, in pages that read like a very old book.

Just the address · ready in 3 business days · flyer and MLS version included

A typeset transcription of the surveyor's field notes of April 15, 1838, on an old, stained sheet of paper with torn edges. A letter-size flyer for the listing: the land from the air, the opening of its story, its chapters, a drawn map, the agent's details and a QR code.

How agents use it

From the listing to the closing

On the listing and social

Link it on the listing, paste our short write-up into the description, and post the four pictures we make for social media.

A flyer and a QR code

Print the flyer we make for you, or put the QR code on your own flyers, signs and brochures. One scan opens it on any phone.

Printed for open houses

Set the printed edition out at the open house, or hand a copy to visitors as they leave, so the home's story goes with them.

Shared at showings

Send the link to buyer's agents, so they can share it with their buyers before, during or after the showing, by text or email.

At the listing appointment

Bring the chronicle of the seller's own home to the appointment. It shows what you'll do before you say a word.

A closing gift

After the sale, we'll add the new owners' names. Give it to them at closing, with the timeline framed for the wall.

Questions

Good to know

What do you need from me?

Only the address. We find the land in the county's own records. If the land has no street address yet, the county property ID (from the appraisal district) finds it instead.

Is it only for Texas?

Yes, for now. Each chronicle is built from Texas's own records, from the General Land Office's original land grants to the county appraisal district.

What if nothing famous happened on the land?

Every piece of Texas land has a recorded beginning: the grant that first made it someone's, and the town that grew up around it. Some stories are richer than others, and each chronicle tells its own land's true story.

How does it arrive?

By email, within three business days of your order: one link to a page with everything for each home. That's the chronicle's own page with your details, a version without them for the MLS, the printed edition as a PDF, a QR code, a flyer to print, four pictures for social media and a write-up for the listing.

Is there a version for the MLS?

Yes. Every order includes a version without your details or any link to us, since most MLSs want tour links unbranded.

Do you use the listing photo?

Only when you give us permission on the order form. Otherwise the cover is an aerial photograph of the land.

Can the buyers' names go in it after the sale?

Yes. Ask us after the sale, and we'll add the new owners' names to the title page, the last chapter and the timeline, as a gift or a thank-you.

Can I print and frame it?

Yes. The printed edition is letter size and made for printing. The timeline and each land grant document have a page of their own, made to frame.

Is it private?

It lives at a private link that isn't listed anywhere on our site, and it's kept out of search engines, so it's seen by whoever you share it with. It stays up until you ask us to take it down.

Give your listing its story.
